Are you wanting a fresh start this summer?
One that goes deeper than a new meal plan or a packed to-do list? What if your reset was less about doing more—and more about detoxing your soul with Jesus at the center?
That’s what I’m doing, and I call it my Fit Soul Detox Plan.
Today, I want to share 3 powerful, Christ-centered ways I’m resetting my heart, habits, and health this season. These aren’t just updates from my life—they’re invitations for you to step away from the noise and step into the peace and purpose God has for you, too.
The Fit Soul Detox Plan: 3 Christ-Centered Ways I’m Resetting This Summer
1. Stepping Back from Social to Make Space for What Matters
Let’s be real. Social media can be a blessing—but also a major distraction. I’ve been feeling the Lord prompting me to step back. Not because I don’t love connecting with you, but because I love God more, and I want to steward my time well.
A 2022 study published in the Journal of Affective Disorders found that reducing social media use significantly decreases anxiety and depression symptoms. That’s no surprise to me—the constant scroll steals our stillness.
So I’m logging off for a bit. I’ll continue pouring into you through this podcast and my email list. If you’re not on it, I’d love to stay connected: https://kimdolanleto.com/freebie
What about you could you use a Fit Soul Detox here too? Have you been sensing that nudge from God to unplug? Maybe it’s time to ask: Is social media feeding my faith or fueling my stress?
Scripture: Ephesians 5:15–16 – “So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.”
Prayer: Dear God, help me unplug from what drains me and plug into what fuels me—Your presence. Redirect my time and attention toward You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
2. Pressing Pause to Be Present with My Family

My daughter Giavella is heading off to college. This summer is bittersweet, and I want to savor every moment.
We’ve planned trips, local adventures like the zoo and aquarium, and even a big trip to Europe. Just like when she was little. I’m choosing to be present.
And you know what? A recent Journal of Marriage and Family study shows that quality family time strengthens mental health and emotional resilience. God knew what He was doing when He gave us these relationships.
The podcast will continue every Tuesday, but will be audio-only for a bit so I can be fully present.
What about you could you use a Fit Soul Detox here too? What’s one way you can intentionally love your people this summer? Maybe it’s a meal around the table, a tech-free walk, or just slowing down to listen.
Scripture: Psalm 90:12 – “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
Prayer: Lord, thank You for my family. Help me be fully present, not distracted. Let every moment be marked with love, laughter, and Your presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
3. Rooting Myself in the Fit Gods’ Way 7 Ws
This summer, I’m focused on the godly habits that have sustained me for decades: the 7 Ws of Fit God’s Way. These are the faith-fueled habits I teach in my 30-Day Transformation course, and they’re my foundation.
Word. Worth. Whole God-Made Food. Workouts. Water. Worship. Wake/Sleep cycle.
A 2021 study in the Journal of Religion and Health confirmed what we already know: integrating faith into our habits improves long-term health and wellbeing.
These habits have carried me through seasons of pregnancy, injury, perimenopause, and big life changes. And they can do the same for you.
What about you could you use a Fit Soul Detox here too? What’s one W you could focus on today? Start small. Start with God. That’s how transformation begins.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 10:31 – “Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
Prayer: Jesus, I want my health to honor You. Help me live with intention, fuel my body with what You made, and stay faithful in the process. In Your name I pray, amen.
Encouragement for a Fit Soul Detox: Less of the World, More of Him
This summer, I’m choosing less of the world and more of Him. Less distraction. More presence. Less striving. More grace.
How about you? What does your soul need to detox from? What is God calling you to say no to, so you can say yes to Him?
I’ll be here every Tuesday with a new Strong. Confident. His. episode. Make sure you’re on the list so we can stay connected: https://kimdolanleto.com/freebie
