The Stirring of Something New
Sister, have you ever felt God stirring something new in your heart—something you can’t quite explain, but you know it’s from Him? It’s both thrilling and terrifying. You sense He’s leading you into a new season, but it doesn’t look like anything you’ve done before.
That’s where I am right now.
For years, my lane was faith and fitness. God used me to help women invite Him into their health, workouts, and daily habits. I’ll always cherish that work—it changed my life and countless others. But lately, I’ve felt Him stretching me beyond that lane. * If you’re looking for help with your fitness you can get Free Christian Fitness Guide Here.
He’s been calling me higher.
This time, His invitation isn’t just about physical strength—it’s about whole-life transformation: purpose, calling, relationships, dreams, and daily obedience that flow from Him.
If you’re sensing that God is shifting your direction too, this post is for you.

The Moment God Shifted My Heart
It started on an ordinary day when I was anything but okay. I was exhausted, overworked, and running on empty. As I looked out at my backyard, I caught myself thinking, When was the last time I even went in my pool?
That question stopped me.
I changed into my swimsuit, stepped into the water, and let myself breathe. As I searched for a podcast to listen to, I realized something surprising—I didn’t want another workout tip or diet hack. I was craving something deeper: a conversation about godly motivation, purpose, and walking in the goals God puts on our hearts.
But I couldn’t find one.
Right there, in the quiet, God whispered to my spirit:
“Kim, I’ve given you the gift of exhortation. You don’t just encourage women in fitness—you encourage them in life. This is what I’m calling you to create.”
That was my turning point. God was calling me higher—not just to build strong bodies, but to help build strong faith and purpose in women everywhere.
Scriptures to Stand On in a New Season
When God calls you higher, it’s normal to feel unsure. The good news? His Word steadies us every step of the way. These verses have carried me through this transition:
- Hebrews 11:6 — “He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
- Psalm 42:1 — “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.”
- Psalm 18:33 — “He makes my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me on my high places.”
- Psalm 18:36 — “You enlarged my path under me, so my feet did not slip.”
- Deuteronomy 12:9 — “For as yet you have not come to the rest and the inheritance which the Lord your God is giving you.”
These scriptures remind me that when God expands our territory, He also strengthens our steps.
Four Reflection Questions for Your New Season
If you feel God shifting something in your life, take these questions into prayer:
- Where is God calling you to change or grow?
- What dream or passion has He placed in you that you’ve been hiding or doubting?
- Are you thirsting for Him above all else, like the deer in Psalm 42?
- Are you willing to step onto higher ground, trusting Him to steady your feet—even when the way isn’t clear?
Trusting God in Your New Season
Your next season may not look like your last—and that’s okay. When God calls you higher, He’s not moving you away from purpose; He’s moving you toward more of Himself.
He expands your capacity.
He deepens your faith.
He multiplies your impact.
If you remember nothing else, remember this: thirst for Him like the deer longs for water, and trust Him to steady your feet on the heights.
God has more for you. And when you say yes—even scared, even uncertain—you step into the beautiful, higher place He’s already prepared for you.
Final Thoughts
Friend, here are three truths to carry into your next chapter:
- Your yes to God matters.
- The world doesn’t write your story—He does.
- Faith is about obedience, not perfection.
