We’ve been lied to.
Every scroll, every ad, every “boss-babe” message is teaching us to chase success the world’s way — leaving us stuck, striving, and spiritually empty.
But not today.
Today, we’re exposing five of the biggest worldly lies that trap Christian women… and replacing them with God’s truth that sets us free.
Listen to Strong. Confident. His on Apple Podcasts or Spotify
“I used to think if I hit a certain number on the scale, landed the book deal, or built the ministry, I’d finally feel confident. But when I got there … I still felt like something was missing.
I’d chased all the goals — the quick fixes, the hustle, the achievements — but they never gave me the peace I was really searching for. Because the truth is, confidence doesn’t come from the next win; it comes from walking with God.”
If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the things and still not enough, this post is for you.
Let’s get free, God’s way.

5 Worldly Lies that Trap Christian Women
Lie #1: “Once You Arrive, You’ll Finally Be Happy”
You’ve heard it before: “Once I lose the weight … once I hit that income … once my life looks like hers … I’ll finally be happy.”
That’s a lie.
There is no finish line in faith, fitness, or success. The world sells “arrival.” But God calls us to abide.
Truth Bomb: There’s no finish line in God’s plan — only daily faithfulness.
Scripture:
“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 3:14
Say this:
“I don’t chase arrival — I walk in daily revival.”
| Lie | Truth |
|---|---|
| “There’s a finish line.” | “I’m made for lifelong faithfulness.” |
Lie #2: “You Can Cheat the Process”
The world says: “You can have it all — fast.” A pill, a program, a shortcut.
But God’s kingdom doesn’t operate on Amazon Prime shipping.
You can’t skip the soil and expect a harvest. You can’t get holy results with worldly hacks.
Truth Bomb: The slow, faithful, obedient way is the blessed way.
Scripture:
“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” — Galatians 6:9
Say this:
“I sow in faith, and I’ll reap in God’s time.”
| Lie | Truth |
|---|---|
| “I can hack my health.” | “I sow, I grow, I reap.” |
Lie #3: “You’re Not Enough”
This lie is everywhere. The world profits off your insecurity — every ad says, “Fix yourself.”
You’re told to be prettier, thinner, richer, younger — more, more, more.
But God already said you’re His masterpiece. You’re not behind. You’re not broken. You’re becoming who He designed you to be.
Truth Bomb: You don’t need to become more — you need to believe more.
Scripture:
“You are complete in Christ, who is the head of all principality and power.” — Colossians 2:10
Say this:
“I am complete in Christ. I lack nothing.”
| Lie | Truth |
|---|---|
| “I’m not enough.” | “I’m made whole in Christ.” |
Lie #4: “You’re in Control”
If you hustle harder, plan better, control every detail — then life will work out, right?
No. Control is an illusion. Trying to micromanage your life is exhausting.
You’re not the author of your story — you’re the vessel He’s writing through.
Truth Bomb: You’re not in control, but you are in covenant.
Scripture:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
Say this:
“I release control and rest in His direction.”
| Lie | Truth |
|---|---|
| “I’m in control.” | “I’m in covenant with God.” |
Lie #5: “Hustle Equals Worth”
This one hits deep. We’ve been told that if we’re not constantly grinding, we’re falling behind.
But burnout isn’t a badge of honor — it’s a warning light.
God didn’t design you to run ragged. He designed you to rest in Him.
Truth Bomb: Peace is power. Rest is warfare.
Scripture:
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Say this:
“I don’t prove my worth through work — I rest in His grace.”
| Lie | Truth |
|---|---|
| “Hustle equals worth.” | “My worth is in Christ alone.” |
BONUS Lie: “Self-Love Is the Answer”
The world says, “Just love yourself more.” But without Christ, that’s self-worship — not true self-worth.
Truth Bomb: Confidence without Christ is counterfeit.
Scripture:
“We love because He first loved us.” — 1 John 4:19
Say this:
“My worth doesn’t come from loving myself — it comes from knowing I’m loved by Him.”
| Lie | Truth |
|---|---|
| “Self-love will heal me.” | “Only God’s love can heal me.” |
Encouragement for the Christian Woman
Sister, the enemy wants you distracted, discouraged, and drained — chasing results instead of resting in Jesus.
But you’re not falling for it anymore. You’re done with the world’s lies.
A Strong. Confident. His. woman doesn’t chase approval — she walks in anointing.
Say it with me:
“I am strong. I am confident. I am His.”
The world says “hustle harder.” God says “be still and know.”
